LINCOLN CATHEDRAL: CASE STUDY & ELEMENT ANALYSIS

SPECULATIVE ART: DEEP C-INN-EMA

After the obscure Deep cinema hall was burnt down in 1984 Anti-sikh riots, the sikh owners now got the license back and they decided to take their revenge. Earlier, they wanted to create a cinema so that they get visitors and the space is utilized for entertainment. Now, they give another dimension to that entertainment. They decide to build a Haunted house which discourages the supporters of Anti-sikh riots. They’d keep the burnt spaces as it is, and make the interiors more dingy and dark. The entrance itself will be hidden, the elements existing in the building will be haunted. The 4 levels in the building will all have scary, interactive spaces with a spooky twist of Sikh haunted characters as the staff. It gets scarier as you go up. The cinema hall has a single screen placed in an open, neglected setting where real time horror effects are experienced by visitors. Following this development, the spaces in the vicinity will develop and adapt to the number of visitors each day, travelers and families who visit for fun and adventure. There might be more shops which open with a similar theme: selling souvenirs, props and costumes. Even the cafes and hotels will focus on a similar theme.
